Day TreatmentThe Turning Point Adolescent Center facility is a Day Treatment center designed to provide children and adolescents with a safe and therapeutic environment in which to learn about themselves and their relationships with others. It also provides individuals with an opportunity to learn skills and strategies that assist in successful coping, communication, and socialization. By providing facilitation and information in specific areas, Turning Point Adolescent Center aims to teach individuals the connections between thoughts, behaviors, and emotions and how these components of personality affect one’s self control, social interactions, and individual success. Staff members model appropriate interactions and, through the use of metaphors, teach consumers valuable lessons in every personal encounter or daily activity. Turning Point provides the foundation for the community’s youth to discover individual strengths and fosters the development of self esteem, self concept, and self worth which, overall, benefits the community.
