Bio: Mr. Stanford, a former teacher with Wake County Public School system and a graduate from North Carolina Central University has been working in the human services field for the past eight years. "As a former teacher of students with behavior problems, I strive to meet the social and academic needs of all my students!" Prior to entering the education and human services field, Mr. Stanford worked in the banking and insurance field. Mr. Stanford is very open minded and enjoys enriching the lives of others through mentoring and counseling.

Bio: Elizabeth is a Licensed Professional and Nationally Certified Counselor. Liz has over 12 years post Bachelor’s experience working with adults and children with mental health needs,developmental disabilities and addictive disorders. Liz is an empathetic and enthusiastic person who is active in her community. Her entrepreneurial spirit has been impactful and motivating to mental health professionals throughout the state. As Clinical Director of Turning Point Family CARE, Liz makes every effort to provide a cheerful and well-balanced work environment.

Carolyn Cordasco, LCSW, Program Director

Bio: Ms. Cordasco received her masters from Boston University. She did her internship in a military hospital in Germany. She started her career in mental heath working in Youth Centers and prisons in Kansas and North Carolina. She started the sexual offender program, SOAR, in the North Carolina Divisions of Prisons. She has worked in inpatient hospitals, with substance abuse, crisis focused therapy and in community mental health. Though a generalist in mental health treatment she has experience in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and sexual offender treatment. She is an experienced trainer in Kansas and North Carolina, an experienced consultant for the courts and has been interviewed for print and TV articles.

Bio: Karen is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Family Life Educator. For the past several years, Karen has been fulfilling the role as Intensive In Home Team Leader working with children, teens and adults in the local community. She enjoys providing services in a variety of settings that include the home, school and community. Karen is passionate about areas including grief and bereavement, self-image, parent-child relationships, depression/anxiety, and medical family therapy. Karen displays an enthusiastic spirit & strong desire to empower those around her.

Bio: Aimee is a recently Licensed, Professional Counselor.
Aimee has specific interests in serving children in our
community. She particularly enjoys working with children
who have been diagnosed with ADHD/ODD or other behavioral disorders. Specialty areas include play therapy, behavioral
disorders, depression and anxiety. Aimee has been a positive asset to the agency as she brings an insightful and intriguing perspective to her work. She is performance
driven, goal oriented, and a skillful provider.

Christina has many years experience in human services which have included roles in social work, administration, management and human resources. Bio: Annette Wilder is a UNC-Chapel Hill alumnae, who has had strong administrative and programming skills. Her experience in the mental health field includes program management, working on quality assurance and quality improvement activities, training and human resources. She also considers herself to be a dedicated, diligent, and compassionate person in regards to consumers and staff.

Bio: Dr. Warden is the Medical Director with Turning Point Family CARE, through collaboration with ROJ Mental Health & Substance Abuse services. Dr. Warden brings many years of child advocacy, counseling and case management. Dr. Warden is compassionate about the consumers she serves, and gives every consumer her full attention.

Bio: Lettice is currently providing supervision, guidance, education and resources to adults and Community Support Team Members at Turning Point Family CARE. Lettice has a passion for working with families that is contagious and uplifting. She provides consumers with a variety of skill building interventions that assist them in obtaining needed resources such as housing, employment, financial assistance, childcare assistance, and a better understanding of their mental health diagnosis.

Bio: Sheila is currently providing Community Support Team Services to adults in Wake County. Sheila is a strong team builder and proactive in her service delivery. Not only is she reliable and resourceful, Sheila is compassionate and sensitive to others’ needs. Dedicated to her work, Sheila spends many hours preparing therapeutic activities for consumers to utilize and learn from. She is a positive role model and an active participant in her community.

He is empathetic and caring and has an innate desire to help people make positive changes in their lives. Laye has wonderful life experience that has taught him about what truly matters in life. He is thoughtful and friendly and has a smile that can light up a room. He is also a very talented athlete and can be found teaching soccer at NCSU in his free time.
